L' utilisation d'outils de traduction pourrait-elle menacer l'activité traduisante?

Translation tools are undoubtedly a significant asset to professional translators nowadays. However, although their use is widely extended many TS scholars still put under examination their roles and limits. This paper argues that some of the problems found in Target Texts where translation memories were used could be related to this practice. In particular, problems such as absence of clarity, lack of initiative from the translator or language fluency problems are proved to be influenced by the unconditional use this tool. Our approach is descriptive/ functional and our resutls are based to the analysis of a three language corpus (French/English/Greek)
