In many aspects of our social life in Greece, English replaces Greek. In this paper an attempt is made, with the help of cognitive framing, to explain these language changes that take place. If we accept the claim that reasoning is mostly unconscious and people think in terms of conceptual frames, image-schemas, prototypes and conceptual metaphors, it is easy to understand why Greeks do not resist the idea of replacing their language with another dominant language.
