The relationship between the two systems, transportation and land use is a complex process, with constant feedback. The system of transport by providing mobility creates installation opportunities or position benefits for specific land uses. For that reason transport emerged as an important factor in influencing the installation of land uses. In the present paper we study the change of land use in the nodes of the Egnatia Odos in Kozani and Veria in Greece. By using remote sensing methods and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) programs like Erdas Imagine 2011 ® and ArcMap 10 ®, we produced classified satellite images of the nodes of Egnatia Odos and calculated the total area of each category.
