Abstract Today, there are a lot of researches about the so-called study of neuroscience, which put in discussion many assumptions psychological. The reflection done in this review article exposes part of the debate on the relationship between cognitive development and learning. We present some recent research on the subject and observations made by some leading theorists in this field. Finally, we show succinctly that UNESCO guidelines promulgated from the cognitive domain to be taken into account in education. We conclude that the relationship between cognitive and education remains controversial.
