The paper deals with methods of measurement of radial errors of the precision spindles using the roundness standard and the results of measurement of the same measurement due to uncontrollable values. The trajectory of the centre of roundness standard used for the measurement of radial errors of the spindle depends on radial error of the spindle‘s axis trajectory in the measuring plane and on its value and direction of eccentricity in respect of the spindle axis. Function and value of radial error measurement depend on the uncontrollable errors of centring and on the direction of measurement during the calibration.
