ABSTRACT. The article aims to reflect on how the rural community understands the Mais Educação program and through this survey to analyze the possible relationships between an Integral Education project and the principles of Rural Education. In this sense, the present study assumes the challenge of articulating these education projects based on observations made in the context of a municipal school located in the rural community of Padre João Afonso, in the municipality of Itamarandiba-MG, where in 2012 the Mais Educação program was deployed.
