Lehigh Valley Health Network has begun a $21.4 million expansion at the Kasych Family Pavilion on its Cedar Crest campus. The project will add 24 private rooms and three floors to the south tower of the pavilion. plans call for fitting out the existing shell on the fourth floor that was left vacant for future development. The floor will have an additional 17,000 square feet of space, which will be used as a 24-bed medical/surgical unit with private rooms.The plans also call for installing the steel construction to the shells of floors five through seven to allow for additional future growth.Dr. Ronald Swinfard, president and CEO of LVHN, said there is an ongoing demand for additional rooms at the network’s hospitals.He said the new unit is ...
