BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: As part of a national pilot, the Lehigh Valley Family Medicine Residency Program implemented curricular changes to emphasize family medicine identity. These changes included limiting first-year inpatient experiences, adding interval outpatient weeks, and increasing family physician mentorship.
