ABSTRACTSpawning is early life cycle of fishes and breeding program process. Wild of snakehead fish (Channa striata) can spawning in the open water as fish habits. At aquaculture environmental the fish can spawning too. Spawning of snakehead fish by artificial spawning used hormone. This study want to know differently of natural spawning and artificial spawning. The result of study latency periode of artificial spawning 23-24 hours (one day), and natural spawning range 3-5 days, fecundity of artificial spawning is 2.847-6.668 eggs, natural spawning is 1.557-6.112 eggs, percentage of eggs fertilized artificial spawning is 98,78-99,75%,, natural spawning is 98,33-99,54%.
