This research was conducted in October 2010 - January 2011. Sampling of sponge was conducted in the waters of the Tegal island Lampung. This study aims to obtain symbiotic bacteria of sponge that has material potential as antibacterial and know the biochemical nature of the symbiotic bacterium of sponges that has the potential material as antibacterial. Bacteria of sponges were inoculated on NA media with for casting method. Results of inoculation were purified by the bowls scratch method. Purification selected 10 bacteria isolates to be performed screening of antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcusa aureus bacteria.
