The platonic dialectic and the foundation of logic in antiquity

The present dissertation is a research on the original sources and testimonies of Plato's theory of principles One and indefinite Dyas (mega-micron). Both converging and diverging interpretive schools of the 20th century, regarding the dualistic or monistic flow of principles, tend to accept an unwritten teaching about the "most honorable" (timiotera) (Phaedrus 278 d 8). Specifically, in the context of the 'reconstruction' of the unwritten teaching, the two principles are studied on the one hand in their interweave as a negative unity and on the other hand in their continuous passage as a passage of the good itself within the ontological and cognitive scale, having the form of a speculative notion of Number, Ratio and Proportion. The premise of the relation and the passage of the principles bring the issue of the “mean” field between the two worlds of the intellectual and the sensible. The field of the "mean" also highlights the primacy of the category of Relationship (pros ti) in the form of a "double gender" (disson genos), which interweave the principles of the One with the great and the small of the indefinite Dyas and thus constitutes the underlying Logic, which epistemically intervene both the things of the supreme and the subordinate Being. The contribution of the second principle upgrades the image of the sensible world as it implicitly integrates into a related Ratio (pros ti) the complete infinite things of the sensoryΗ παρούσα διατριβή αποτελεί μια διερεύνηση των πρωτότυπων πηγών και των μαρτυριών σχετικά με την θεωρία των αρχών του Πλάτωνος Ένα και αόριστη δυάδα (μέγα-μικρόν). Από κοινού οι συγκλίνουσες και οι αποκλίνουσες ερμηνευτικές σχολές του 20ου αι., αναφορικά με την δυιστική ή την μονιστική απορροή των αρχών, τείνουν στην αποδοχή μιας άγραφης διδασκαλίας, η οποία αφορά τα «τιμιώτερα» (Φαίδρος 278 d 8). Ειδικότερα στο πλαίσιο της «ανασύνθεσης» της άγραφης διδασκαλίας οι δύο αρχές μελετώνται αφ’ ενός στη μεταξύ τους συμπλοκή ως μία αρνητική ενότητα και αφ’ ετέρου στη συνεχή διέλευσή τους ως διέλευση του ίδιου του αγαθού εντός της οντολογικής και γνωσιολογικής κλίμακας, με τη μορφή της θεωρησιακής έννοιας του Αριθμού, του Λόγου και της Αναλογίας. Η προϋπόθεση της συμπλοκής αλλά και της διέλευσης των αρχών θεματοποιείται στην περιοχή της «μεσότητας» μεταξύ των δύο κόσμων του νοητού και του αισθητού. Η περιοχή της «μεσότητας» αναδεικνύει συνάμα και το πρωτείο της κατηγορίας της Σχέσης (προς τι) με την μορφή ενός «δισσού γένους», που συμπλέκει τΙς αρχές του Ενός μαζί με το μέγα και το μικρό της αορίστου Δυάδος και ούτως αποτελεί την υποκείμενη Λογική, η οποία διέπει γνωσιολογικά τόσο τα πράγματα των υπερόντων όσο και των υποόντων του Είναι. Η δε συμβολή της δεύτερης αρχής αναβαθμίζει την εικόνα του αισθητού κόσμου καθότι συνάγει εμμέσως σε έναν συσχετίζοντα Λόγο (προς τι) τα ολοσχερώς αόριστα πράγματα του κόσμου της αισθητηριακής εμπειρίας, καθιστώντας αυτά ως ένα ετέρως–Είναι, αναλογικό σύστοιχο του καθ’ εαυτό-Είναι του ανώτερου πεδίου της Νόησης
