Jack Crutchfield and Virginia Crutchfield Welton talk about the formation of Hamilton, Montana, in the late 1890s and the roles their father, Charles Crutchfield, and Marcus Daly played in planning and building the town. The two sisters reminisce about their childhood in the early years of Hamilton, watching the town grow through construction, millwork, the apple boom, and tourism. They recall the community efforts to build churches and schools and recount social events the town had, such as pancake suppers.
