Maxine Van de Wetering talks about her education prior to coming to the University of Montana. She explains how her Jewish connections helped to get her a job at the University and the subsequent problem of being moved from department to department at the beginning of her career. Van de Wetering discusses the political climate within the University’s academic departments during the 1960s and 1970s.
