Arthur Deschamps discusses the history of the Friends of the Library organization. He describes how the organization started, the relationship between the Friends of the Library and Presidents of the University of Montana, Missoula, including Robert Johns and Bob Pantzer, and how these relationships affected the organization. Deschamps also discusses the fundraising banquets thrown by the Friends, changes and adjustments within the organization’s bylaws, and activities the Friends were involved with and sponsored.
