The aim of my lecture is to observe the development of Hungarian public life in Yugoslavia after first world war from the perspective of the Hungarians living in Czechoslovakia. I would like to focus on the situation of the Hungarian community in the south (on the territory of Yugoslavia), the situation of the same in the north (on the territory of Czechoslovakia) and the aspects of foreign and economic policy. So far there is no publication about this era where the position of certain parts of the nation is seen from the perspective of another dislocated area. I think that since the events of this period depended heavily on international reactions and contemporary Hungarian politics, it is not negligible to point out any divergent opinions...
