An Investigation of the Intersection of Evangelical Morality and Climate Change

Abstract: As climate change is becoming a progressively urgent topic, understanding anti-climate change debates is proving to be increasingly important. Evangelical views on the purpose and treatment of the Earth splits into two main categories: dominion and stewardship. Dominion beliefs and practices are often at the root of religious arguments against climate change. Through researching the correlation between dominion and climate change denial/skepticism, a precise and effective rebuttal may be constructed. My two-pronged study aims to garner 40 participants from 10 different churches and question them to assess the correlation between their religious morals and their attitudes towards climate change.
