Del cabildo a la plaza. Popayán 1809-1810

The present article describes the process occured in Popayan between 1809 and 1810. Its narration begins in the debates originated by the happenings in Quito on the bosom of the cabildo, gradually displacing to describe the tensions originated in the city. This statement is organizated in two central moments: the repercussions inside the city after the revolution of Quito and the debates and conflicts between the inhabitants during 1810.El presente artículo describe el proceso acaecido en Popayán entre 1809 y 1810. Su narración inicia en los debates originados por los sucesos de Quito en el seno de cabildo, desplazándose paulatinamente a describir las tensiones que se originan en la ciudad.
