This article is part of a concluded research regarding the autonomy of Colombian indigenous movement in the context of the armed conflict. A theoretical review is presented on the democracy’s concept and an empirical work was conducted with indigenous population about the understanding of the perspective and the practice of these people and their organizations in Colombia.
