An attempt is made to make an approximation of the «Other’s construction» and hermeneutic concepts such as «sense of belonging» and «expectation horizon» to the field of French as à Foreign Language (FFL). Based on the current state of French language teaching in Colombia, a relationship among language, culture and intercultural dimension in proposed, in order to value the Colombian student’s cultural experience when designing didactic proposals.
