Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Despite a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms of lung cancer and the subsequent emergence of targeted therapies, treatment responses are typically short-lived. Oncolytic virotherapy provides a possible alternative direction for controlling this incurable disease.
