Epigenetic modifications confer stable transcriptional patterns in the brain, and both normal and abnormal brain function involve specialized brain regions, yet little is known about brain region-specific epigenetic differences We study DNA methylation and chromatin accessibility in multiple brain regions of the normal human brain using whole-genome bisulfite sequencing and ATAC sequencing. Flow sorting reveals differences between neuronal and glial cells, as well as between brain regions.
