As fourth year students in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems, we are taking part in the University of British Columbia Food Systems Project (UBCFSP), an ongoing project that investigates and evaluates the sustainability of the UBC food system. This paper focuses its investigations on the sustainability of the food system in the University Boulevard Neighbourhood in relationship to the UBC Farm as a local food system. Although University Boulevard is in preliminary stages of construction, we intend to assess any possible relationships that they may have and how they can work together to promote and maintain food system sustainability.
