People with schizophrenia have been found to experience health inequities that lead to early morbidity and mortality. Primary health care is an approach to reducing health inequities for individuals with schizophrenia. The purpose of this study was to examine what it is like for individuals with schizophrenia when they access primary health care. Exploring these experiences from the client perspective highlighted areas in which change is needed to improve access.
