Objective: The aim of this study is to understand how craniofacial morphology and the severity of a malocclusion can contribute to sleep disordered breathing (SDB) symptoms in children when controlled for age, gender and body mass index (BMI). Methods: A total of 301 subjects with complete records were included in this study. Two hundred and thirty-seven were preadolescents, of which 97 were male and 140 were female (mean age 9.9±1.6); 64 were adolescents, of which 24 were male and 40 were female (mean age 13.8±0.9).
