The students within Applied Science 262 were given several choices for their projects relating to the new SUB building. We were tasked with further researching irrigation systems that can be used for the rooftop gardens. We were to conduct a triple bottom-line analysis for the different irrigation systems that could be used and compare the results and determine what would be the best choice to use for the rooftop garden for the new SUB. With the idea of attaining LEED platinum in mind our decisions were based more off of the environmental and social aspects of our triple bottom line analysis.
