Teacher preparation for art curriculum implementation

This study addresses the question of how well prepared are elementary teachers in British Columbia to implement the New Elementary Fine Arts Curriculum Guide/Resource Book. Through questionnaires and interviews conducted with elementary teachers in a large Lower Mainland school district and university elementary art methods course instructors at three universities in British Columbia, it was possible to identify and discuss some of the educational factors that influence curriculum implementation in art.
