Due to the fluidity of water, the kinematics and dynamics of falling water drops in air may not be as simple as those of common solid objects. A mathematical model for the velocity of a falling water drop with respect to time was proposed and refined using experimental data, and was determined to be representative of an actual water drop. This model was then compared to the behaviour of a water drop as predicted by classical Newtonian physics, and was found to be similar, suggesting that fluidity is not a large factor in the kinematics and dynamics of a falling water drop.Science, Faculty ofUnreviewedUndergraduat
