Shotcrete as a construction material has been in use since the early part of this century. It is increasingly being used in new construction and in repair and rehabilitation of older structures. Its use spans a broad array of applications such as in tunnel linings, slope stabilization and in the repair of marine, highway and railway structures. Shotcrete is easy to apply, does not require complicated equipment and i f properly applied, it is sufficiently durable.
