This thesis takes an industrial-based case and uses several modeling methods to model the organization and its business processes. The objective of this thesis is to apply the rule-based Object-Oriented Enterprise Modeling (OOEM) methodology developed by Wand and Woo as an enterprise and process modeling methodology, and to compare the OOEM models against two other modeling techniques: the Integrated Definition (IDEFO) technique and Jacobson's object-oriented approach to business modeling. The case analysis reveals that the OOEM method has advantages in modeling an enterprise and in communicating information about business processes.Business, Sauder School ofManagement Information Systems, Division ofGraduat
