In recent years, wireless mesh networking has attracted a growing interest due to its inherent flexibility, scalability, and reliability. The IEEE 802.16 standard, commonly known as worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX), is the latest technology that enables broadband wireless access over long distances.
