AbstractThe paper investigates whether the value of cultural heritage can be enhanced through what we have termed “slow tourism infrastructure”, connecting individual assets in a regional network. It examines the context of Italian inner areas, where phenomena of marginalisation risk leaving a vast amount of heritage in a state of abandonment.
