Differential Interference Contrast microscopy is used to characterise the growth kinetics and morphology of methyl stearate crystals, growing in three different solvents. The collected experimental data for the growth of these crystals specific faces as a function of supersaturation is presented in the dataset. The complete set of planes delivered through the prediction of the BFDH morphology for methyl stearate crystals using three different sets of unit cell parameters is presented. These planes are organised in groups and analysed using common zone axes methods to identify the most rational crystal lattice and morpholog
