La gématrie comme technique de composition dans la Bible hébraïque

This paper highlights a particular application of numerology where the numerical value of a word or of a key expression in a text maps precisely onto the number of words in that text. This technique can be seen in Exod. 6.10-30, Lev. 17.10-12, Deut. 10.17-18 & 26.5-9 and Ps. 136.La présente étude se propose d’attirer l’attention sur une application particulière de la gématrie où la valeur numérique d’un mot ou d’une expression clé du texte correspond très exactement au nombre de mots de ce texte.
