The article presents the main critiques of eliminativism against the existence of folk psychology. It presents the critiques according to which: folk psychology does not relate to other scientific theory; folk psychology is so singular that it has not developed since the time of the Greeks; folk psychology is passive when in certain cases it should be active; and, folk psychology is not susceptible of been treated with scientific falsification, as it must occur with scientific theories. It shows the philosophical arguments related to the falsification method, notably the ones related to epistemology.
