Abstract

Carburizing pack is the simplest carburizing method, which uses charcoal powder as an addition of Carbon. The purpose of this study is to determine changes in the properties of steel, both physical and mechanical properties. The material used is low carbon steel (mild steel) <0.3% C. Variations here are using 200 mesh waru wood charcoal and waru wood charcoal produced by shaker mill.
