This study aims to describe the characteristics of sales promotion of fried gethuk and to describe social media for the sale of fried gethuk in Kapungan Polanharjo Village. The basic method used is a qualitative method. Determination of the sample area is done by 3 respondents and through interviews. The data analysis technique used is the triangulation technique. The results showed that gethuk goreng sellers through social media were only partly done, because each of the sellers interpreted social media with different thoughts. Social media is used as a supporting promotional tool, because of its wide reach and saves time and salespeople compared to door-to-door sales.
