Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Minat Mahasiswa Akuntansi Berkarir Sebagai Akuntan Publik (Studi Empiris pada Perguruan Tinggi dengan Program Studi Akuntansi yang Berakreditasi A yang terdapat di Surakarta)

The public accountant profession is one of the most important profession, because this profession is responsible or improving state of the company’s financial statements, in addition to that the public accountant profession provides management consultations and tax consultations. Choosing a career as a public accountant is supposed to be very appealing to accounting grad students, because it is well appreciated financially and is considered a prestigious profession. This study has the aim to analyze whether financial reward, professional training, social values, work environment and labor market considerations influence the interest of career accounting student as public accountants. Population in this research is accounting student S1 force 2015 in Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, Surakarta State University and Islamic Batik University of Surakarta. To collect the sample, it used convenience sampling method. The sample used in this 2 research amounted 379 respondents. In this research, to analyze data used multiple regression analysis. The result of this research show that R2 equal to 0,369 it means that 36,9% students influence the selection of a public accounting career are based on the financial reward, professional training, social values, work environment and labor market considerations. And for the 63,1% are based on out of variable models. The result of t test show that the financial reward, social value, work environment and labor market considerations, influence the interest of career accounting student as public accountants.
