SLAM (Simultaneous Localization And Mapping) has an important role in several applications such as autonomous robots, smart vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and others. Nowadays, real-time vision based SLAM applications becomes a subject of widespread interests in many researches. One of the solutions to solve the computational complexity of image processing algorithms, dedicated to SLAM applications, is to perform high or/and low level processing on co-processors in order to build a System on Chip.
