High expression of CD22 antigen is found on the surface of leukemia cells in ALL. Inotuzumab ozogamicin, a CD22 monoclonal antibody conjugated to calicheamicin, which has shown efficacy in patients with lymphomas, has also shown encouraging activity in relapsed or refractory ALL with a high morphologic and molecular response rate.
