The White-throated Kingbird is a bird that migrates during the winter of South America. In north-eastern Brazil there are scarce records of this species. Here we present the documented record of this species in the state of Pernambuco. It is probable that this record is of an erratic individual that moved away from its migratory route. However, only with specific and systematic observation will it be possible to explain the occurrence of this species in the state
