In the title complex, {[Mn(C14H6O6S)(C2H6O2)(H2O)2]·C4H9NO}n, the MnII ion is six-coordinated in a trans-octahedral geometry by two carboxylate O atoms from two 5,5-dioxodibenzo[b,d]thiophene-3,7-dicarboxylate (L) ligands in a monodentate mode, two O atoms from two ethylene glycol (EG) molecules and two aqua O atoms.
