Health care in a system which is influenced by other interacting subsystems. In order to maximize the output in the delivery of health care it is essential to understand these interrelations. Systems analysis is a tool in this direction being used in health care management recently. Some of the concepts and recent applications of the methodology in health care management are reviewed in the article to help administrators for wider use of the techniques so that health care management be better oriented for an optimum output
