In the present article, the essential singularities of the dynamics of the process of civic formation in the university context from the professional and sociopolitical perspectives are exposed. The psychological, pedagogic and sociological assumptions which sustain the understanding of the university student civic formation as special phase of the continuous formative process are described. On the other hand, the condition of active agent of sociotransforming alternatives as quality that distinguishes the higher education students in their performance as citizens is precised.
