In this study, the removal of methylene blue from aqueous solutions by biosorption onto Elaeagnus angustifolia stone has investigated. Optimum biosorption conditions have determined as a function of pH, biosorbent dosage, initial methylene blue concentration, contact time and temperature of the solution for the removal of methylene blue. Langmuir, Freundlich and Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) isotherm models have used to describe the biosorption isotherm model. The experimental data have fitted to pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order and intraparticle diffusion model to examine the sorption kinetics.
