[english] Qualitative research methods are increasingly employed in general practice. They are used in scientific studies as well as in the development and management of standards of quality of care. To develop the research skills of medical students while providing an introduction to the field of general practice, a seminar concept was developed and applied. In the seminar, the students familiarize themselves with some of the often encountered medical problems in general practice and the respective guidelines for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the German Association of General Practice and Family Medicine (DEGAM) .
