Effect of effective microorganisms on some biochemical parameters in broiler chicks

This study was conducted to investigate the potential effect of effective microorganisms (EM) on some biochemical parameters which includes; glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides levels in addition to the levels of Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and Aspartate aminotransferase (AST) in the serum of broilers. 50 One day-old unsexed broiler chicks were randomly assigned in to two treatments (25 chick/pen); control group (T1) and treatment group (T2) which supplied with 1% EM (10 ml/litre) to the drinking water for 5 weeks of age. Results showed that inclusion of 1% EM significantly increase blood glucose (P<0.05) and lower cholesterol but the triglycerides decrease was insignificant in (T2) than those of (T1). On the other hand (AST) increased significantly (P
