Rural Extension, as a mechanism to tend to rural development in Argentina, has been the tool par excellence used by the states to achieve institutional objectives related to dominant politics. The present article aims at analizing the institutionality related to Rural Extension and Technical Welfare in the horticultural sector from La Plata after the crisis in 2001, as a supporting instrument to the rural development.
