His work aimed at comparing a native secondary forest fragment and an abandoned Araucaria angustifolia (Bertol.) Kuntze reforestation through biotic and abiotic parameters. The study sites are located at Fazenda Monte Alegre in Telêmaco Borba, Paraná, Brazil. Height and stem diameter at 1.30m from soil and basal area of all tree species were recorded as well as pH and soil humidity, soil compaction, herb cover, canopy cover, litter thickness, air temperature and relative humidity.
