This study is focused on the impact of organic selenium (Se) (Sel-Plex) on the growth performance, consumption and quality of meat in the case of carp (Cyprinus carpio), Galitian variety. The experiment was conducted over two years and had the following structure: (1) growth stage juveniles (159 days, year 2008); the period of hibernation; and (2) the status of fish for consumption (200 days, year 2009). Fish growth was conducted at Mărtineşti fish farm, Romania. The total number of specimens was 200, organized in two equal groups: experimental group and control group.
