FAKTOR RISIKO LINGKUNGAN TERHADAP KEJADIAN TUBERKULOSIS PARU DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SOMBA OPU KABUPATEN GOWA

Environment is one of factors that led to the cases of pulmonary TB.. Gowa Regency, especially in Local Government of Sombu Opu reported that from 2009 it had been 85 people with BTA positive and increased in 2011 116 people. This research aimed to determine the risk of environmental conditions on the case of pulmonary tuberculosis in Gowa This study used observational method with Case Control Study. Population of research were pulmonary tuberculosis patients registered in the patient registration card at theLocal Government Clinic of Somba Opu in 2011. Samples of this research were pulmonary tuberculosis patients and their neighbors who had been to the Local Government Clinic of Somba Opu. Used exhaustive sampling for the case group and purposive sampling for the control group with 130 samples. Ratio between both groups were 1:1. Data analysis was done through univariate and bivariate analysis with Odds Ratio (OR) test. The result of research shows that 4 variables observed, a house with high density is not included as a risk factor (OR = 0775), house humidity does not qualify as a risk factor (OR = 2974), home lighting is not a risk factor ( OR = 1070), and the lack of home ventilation is not a risk factor (OR = 1220).
